AREA ROAD RIDES

Flat Rides
Fosters — This ride takes you through southwest Tuscaloosa county along mostly flat roads. At the end of Sander's Ferry Road, turn right on Hwy. 11. Go over the bridge and take a right on Dry Creek Road for a hilly ride, or keep going a little further and take a right on County 10 for flatter rides. There are several loops and out-and-back rides in this area. Map
Sander's Ferry Road — This is the route for the Tuesday and Friday evening rides from Capitol Park . From Capitol Park this is a flat 23.11 mile out-and-back ride if you turn around at Hwy. 11. Map

Hilly Rides
Keene's Mill Rd. — Very hilly route through the eastern part of Tuscaloosa county. From campus this is a 38 mile out-and-back ride if you turn around at Hwy. 11. Or you can continue left on Hwy. 11 for 3/4 mile to Lower Coaling Road and take Hagler Coaling Rd. or Clements Rd. for extra mileage. Map
Lake Lurleen Area — The 10-mile Lake Lurleen loop has two good 1/2 mile climbs and lots of rolling hills. The best way to get out to the loop from Tuscaloosa is shown on this map. Another option if you don't want to ride across the Lurleen Wallace Blvd. bridge is to drive over and park at Kentuck Park, or even drive out to Lake Lurleen State Park. The 10-mile loop at Lake Lurleen uses the following route: from Upper Columbus Rd. (County 21), take a right onto Lake Lurleen Rd., then right on Mt. Olive Rd., then right on Sam Sutton Rd. which takes you back out to Upper Columbus Rd. to complete the loop.

AREA MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDES
