Saturday, June 23rd: Summer Solstice Bike Event and General Meeting at Lake Lurleen State Park
We are adding a road bike ride and a DCBC General Meeting to the annual Summer Solstice mountain bike ride this Saturday. Michael Hayes will be coordinating the mountain bike ride (more information to follow) that will start at 7:00. The road bike ride will start at 7:30 and be in the range of 50-60 miles (route to be decided). The General Meeting and getting together for refreshments and food will start at noon at Pavilion 3 (further into the park). Blake Gill and Chick-fil-A will be providing some chicken delights, though any food/drinks that you bring will be appreciated. You don’t need to be riding to join us for the meeting and food, please come and bring the family.
Also, the new Ridge Loop Trail will be open for biking and hiking. This new 4-mile trail built with a lot of hard work from WAMBA and DCBC members is a tamer alternative to the loop trail around the lake.
